ABOUT
Siren Song Jazz is a group of dedicated musicians passionate about delivering exceptional jazz performances. We collaborate other musicians frequently and participate in Hayes Valley Jazz Jam in San Francisco, Festivaaal (Turkey) and other musicians within Bay Area and Turkey.
Umit Yalcinalp is a singer originally from Turkey who has studied singing in classical music in Cleveland Institute of music with scholarship. As a contralto her musical interests are not limited to Jazz, and she enjoys being an Amy Winehouse impersonator. She frequently collaborates and performs in festivals with Turkish musicians in her native land and has recordings.
Don Ferguson is an accomplished musician who had been composing Jazz tunes since he was a teenager. When he is not playing in multiple bands in San Francisco, he is pursuing an MS degree in composition at the SF State music department.
He is also the manager of the house band for Jazz Jam for Hayes Valley Art Works.
